A wonderful day with my Regiment,but sad We can only breathe a deep sigh as we look at the men I grew up admiring ,the men who served from 1939 on.These were
the men we went from school on November 11th and I first admired as they marched together from 1951 and each year
thereafter.They filled the street for at least a mile and now are down to 5 or 6 men.I joined this regiment in 1960 at
16 years and 3 days,I even went on to lead a few.My family has always been proud of our military,even more so today.My dad
was a medic with bad eyes,but he still joined the day he left high school.My brothers all joined up and served one going to
Royal Military College.
Today was sad,as the great generation passes,young men take there place.The Vets of Nato,the
UN,the peace keepers,now peace makers They arent forgotten by me or my family.
God bless and remember them all.
