You don’t need to live the perfect life to live a responsible life. You can make the world a better place to live for yourself, your friends and family, and for everyone.

The amazing thing is that by taking a few small steps to try and maintain or improve the quality of life for the entire human race, you can actually make your life better right away.

Easy to Make Life Improvement Choices

Every single day there are more and more people on this world. And, every single day there are more cars on the road.

More cars mean more exhaust and pollutants getting pumped into the atmosphere, which is not good for anyone.

A quick and easy way to make a difference is to stop driving your car. Grab a bike and use that for all trips you need to make that aren’t too far away.

Bikes take less resources to make, don’t burn fossil fuels, and biking is one of the best exercises for the human body.

Another easy way to take it easy on the environment while improving your health is to cut out meat from your diet and lifestyle. Cattle and other animals raised for slaughter are very resource intensive.

The two easiest ways to do this are to make an effort to either become a vegetarian or vegan.

As a vegetarian, you would simply stop eating meat. You can take is at extreme or easy-going as possible, meaning you can go 100% animal free (no meat, eggs, milk, etc.) or just cut out meat but still eat eggs.

Or, you can take it to the utmost extreme and go vegan. By being a vegan, you also would cut out meat, eggs, and milk from your diet. But, you would also cut out products made from animals or animal byproducts from your life.

As an example, would be replacing cow milk with vegan-friendly soy milk and replacing your leather shows with canvas shoes.

You might be surprised to learn that you can even find vegan-friendly and cruelty-free body lotions and other items that have nothing to do with food.

By switching to an animal friendly diet, you’ll start feeling amazing. And, the environmental benefits will help you and the rest of the population at the same time.

One final way to make a real difference is to cut down on waste. It’s all too easy to use plastic shopping bags and buy individually bottled drinks.

But, the waste they produce is outrageous.

Instead, do everything you can to only use items you can reuse or that use very little packaging. Instead of using plastic bags for your groceries, buy and reuse a canvas bag every time you go to the market. Instead of buying a case of 16 oz. water bottles, buy gallon containers or bigger.

The less waste you create, the better we all are for it.

If you want to make a real difference in the world, it’s not all that difficult. Many of the changes you can make are very simple and take minimal effort.

Some of them even have near-instant positive effects on you personally, like eating a healthier diet.

Living a responsible life is something we can all do. And, as Gandhi said, “Be the change you want to see in the world.”
